Ability Beyond Boundaries recent event, “2023 Mehregan Celebration” took place last Thursday, 12 October at the Granville Youth and Community Recreation Centre. The main goal of this event was to introduce the rich historical Persian culture to a diverse audience, including the lively Australian community.
The Mehregan celebration was a fantastic gathering, highlighting captivating traditional Persian dance and music performances. Additionally, attendees got to learn about the fascinating origins of Mehregan through informative presentations, giving everyone a chance to experience some cherished traditions.
What made this event even more special was that it was primarily organized and run by people with disability and women, especially those from refugee backgrounds.🌞✨
